Hello, my name is April Pine. I am the mother 4 adult children and 2 granddaughters and one more grandchild expected soon. I have always worked frontline as a Social Service Worker for a local Child Welfare Agency, a Day Care and a Women's Shelter. I am the Program Support Worker for Batchewana First Nation which is made up of 4 different communities- Goulais, Obajiwan, Batchewana Bay and Rankin Reserve. I deliver Domestic Violence programming that helps prevent DV, promote Awareness and using Traditional Teachings to help Clients or Community members through their Healing Journey. I am always open to learning new things. Teachings that i gain from this Conference will be shared with my Clients and the Community.
